BA School of Business and Finance (in Latvian – Banku augstskola) is one of the leading, self financing business schools in Latvia. It was founded in 1992 as Banking College under the Bank of Latvia and in 1997 it was accredited as a Higher Educational Institution, today known as BA School of Business and Finance, offering studies to 1500 students. In 2017 BA School of Business and Finance celebrated its 25th anniversary.

BA School of Business and Finance that has obtained „Investors in Excellence” Quality Management Certificate by the British Quality Foundation thus proving that it meets the high internationally recognized standards (EFQM (European Foundation for Quality Management) Excellence model) is also going to offer qualitative, internationally competitive study programmes in the future.

RISEBA” University of Applied Sciences (RISEBA)

Founded in 1992 as a traditional business school, RISEBA now offers programmes in business and management, psychology, communications, advertising, audiovisual media arts and architecture. Today RISEBA is among the 10 largest higher education institutions in Latvia, with 3000 students, including 300 international students, who attend 19 study programmes of different levels and directions, and more than 9000 alumni. RISEBA is fully accredited by the Latvian Ministry of Education and Science and issues state-recognised degrees. RISEBA has held the International Quality Accreditation by CEEMAN since 2003. It is the only university in Latvia to have had its programmes accredited by the European Foundation for Management Development (EFMD) Programme Accreditation System (EPAS).

Over the last two decades RISEBA has gone through a substantial transformation from a small ambitious business school to a university that provides not only business and management programmes, but also studies in communications, audiovisual media arts and architecture. It has become the place where BUSINESS MEETS ART.

The Stockholm School of Economics in Riga (SSE Riga) is a business school in Riga, Latvia. The school was founded in 1994 by the Stockholm School of Economics (SSE) with the support of the Swedish government, and the Latvian Ministry of Education on behalf of Latvia.
The mission of SSE Riga is to provide state-of-the-art education in economics and business that contributes to the economic and social development of the region, in particular the Baltic countries. This mission also includes research of relevance to the Baltic countries as well as active participation and promotion of public debate
SSE Riga employs modern teaching methods, including group work, summer internships and case studies, and has exchange programs with many leading business schools in Europe. It is thus not surprising that SSE Riga has quickly built a strong reputation for offering the highest-quality business education among employers and applicants in the Baltics.
SSE Riga offers two accredited study programmes: a three-year Bachelor’s programme in Economics and Business, and an Executive MBA – a two-year professional Master’s programme.

The growth of the youth entrepreneurship potential in the Eastern Partnership countries is limited by lack of awareness about the specifics and opportunities for doing business. New challenges and opportunities in the economies of the Eastern Partnership countries are related to the processes of European integration. However, insufficiently studied experience of overcoming difficulties and realizing the possibilities of integration processes significantly reduces the youth entrepreneurship potential in the Eastern Partnership countries.

Described problems are topical in all Eastern Partnership countries. The study of the program bases for the economic development of the Eastern Partnership countries through direct comparison shows that one of the priority tasks is the intensification of entrepreneurial activity. These challenges’ overcoming is possible through the transfer of necessary knowledge about the specifics of doing business in different countries, the implementation of successful business models, entrepreneurial experience for young entrepreneurs.

Employment increasing among young people, as well as entrepreneurial activity intensifying is the priority objectives of European policies in the field of education, internships and youth, it meets the objectives of this project. Studying the experience and peculiarities of doing business in the Eastern Partnership countries, the European Union, and transferring of these knowledge to the youth through the academic environment will provide the synergy between business, science and education in the context of various integration processes. The universities represented in the project are interested in transnational cooperation between education, science and business; improving the international aspect of education; dissemination of youth entrepreneurship, transfer of the best practices of doing business, and in general it meets main objectives of the project.

The idea of the project is intensifying of youth entrepreneurship in the context of European integration both within countries and between the Eastern Partnership countries and the European Union with use of the experience of creating successful business models in the Eastern Partnership countries.

EDAMBA, ‘European Doctoral Programmes Association in Management and Business Administration’ is an international non-profit making association. It aims at promoting and facilitating cooperation among Doctoral Programmes in Management and Business Administration.

More specifically, EDAMBA has the purpose to:
