BA School of Business and Finance (in Latvian – Banku augstskola) is one of the leading, self financing business schools in Latvia. It was founded in 1992 as Banking College under the Bank of Latvia and in 1997 it was accredited as a Higher Educational Institution, today known as BA School of Business and Finance, offering studies to 1500 students. In 2017 BA School of Business and Finance celebrated its 25th anniversary.

BA School of Business and Finance that has obtained „Investors in Excellence” Quality Management Certificate by the British Quality Foundation thus proving that it meets the high internationally recognized standards (EFQM (European Foundation for Quality Management) Excellence model) is also going to offer qualitative, internationally competitive study programmes in the future. Liga Peiseniece is Rector at BA School of Business and Finance, Latvia. L.Peiseniece is also an associate professor and gives lectures on Human Resource Management for more than ten years. She is an active member of the Baltic Management Development Association (BMDA) board. L.Peiseniece has valuable expertise from working on local and international projects. She is working actively as a researcher in the association CRANET that unites members from more than 40 countries dealing with Human Resources Management. She has published 17 publications.

RISEBA” University of Applied Sciences (RISEBA)

Founded in 1992 as a traditional business school, RISEBA now offers programmes in business and management, psychology, communications, advertising, audiovisual media arts and architecture. Today RISEBA is among the 10 largest higher education institutions in Latvia, with 3000 students, including 300 international students, who attend 19 study programmes of different levels and directions, and more than 9000 alumni. Dr.oec. Tatjana Vasiļjeva is a Rector of RISEBA University of Applied Sciences. She started working at RISEBA in October 2011. She’s a highly skilled and experienced professional, who has been working at SEB bank as a Head Information Systems Development Department for many years. T. Vasiļjeva holds a doctor degree in economics („Application of numeric methods in economics”); a „Latvian Bank Specialist Diploma” issued by Assosiation Commercial Banks of Latvia and Institute of Financial Services; a „Quality Systems Manager” diploma issued by Latvian Society for Quality. T. Vasiļjeva is an individual member of The Latvian Information and Communications Technology Association (LIKTA); she is included in an international independent experts database as an expert in European research and innovations; has been chosen as an alternate member from Latvia of European Commission’s Information and Communications Technology Standardisation platform. T. Vasiļjeva’s academic interests are connected with IT management aspects, software development management, use of e-learning methods and tools in education.

The Stockholm School of Economics in Riga (SSE Riga) is a business school in Riga, Latvia. The school was founded in 1994 by the Stockholm School of Economics (SSE) with the support of the Swedish government, and the Latvian Ministry of Education on behalf of Latvia.
The mission of SSE Riga is to provide state-of-the-art education in economics and business that contributes to the economic and social development of the region, in particular the Baltic countries.
